Tirumala, 6 February 2019: Tirumala JEO KS Sreenivasa Raju on Wednesday noon inspected the ongoing arrangements for Radha Sapthami in four mada streets surrounding Tirumala temple.
Later speaking to media persons, the JEO said, Sri Malayappa Swamy, the utsava deity will take celestial ride on seven different vahanams from morning to evening on a single day on February 12. The vahanam spree will commence with Surya Prabha Vahana seva in the morning at 5.30am and concludes with Chandra Prabha Vahana Seva in the night at 9pm.
“For nearly 18 hours all the staff who are deployed in mada streets will discharge their duties. Apart from the regular staff, about 3000 srivari sevakulu will also render services to pilgrs who will be waiting in 170 galleries spread in all four mada streets. The Anna prasadam wing has also set up 55 food courts to distribute food to pilgrims. The continuous cleaning by health department during interval time is also crucial”, he said.
The JEO said to shield pilgrims waiting in galleries from inclement weather conditions, the engineering wing has also set up temporary shed with protective covers.
SE 2 Ramachandra Reddy, VGO Manohar, Special Officer Anna prasadam Venu Gopal, Chief Catering Officer GLN Shastry, Temple Peishkar Ramesh and others were also present.
