PM Modi offers prayers in Tirumala temple

Tirumala: The Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi offered prayers in the famous Hill Shrine of Sri Venkateswara Swamy on Sunday evening. He was accompanied by Governor of AP  ESL Narasimhan and CM of AP YS Jaganmohan Reddy to the temple.

Earlier he given warm reception on his arrival at Mahadwaram of the temple by TTD EO Anil Kumar Singhal and Tirumala JEO KS Sreenivasa Raju.

Later he had darshan of Sri Venkateswara Swamy inside the sanctum sanctorum. The chief priest explained to him about the mythological importance and manifestation of the presiding deity and significance of the ornaments adorned to the Lord.

VISITS SUB-SHRINES

Later the PM has also visited all the sub shrines including Vakula Mata, Bhashyakarulavaru, Yoga Narasimhaswamy and also made offerings in the Hundi.

The Prime Minister was also informed about the average number of pilgrims visiting Tirumala temple every day, about laddus, hundi collection and other details by TTD EO and Tirumala JEO.

VEDASIRVACHANAM:

Later, the Head of the Nation was offered Vedasirvachanam by vedic pundits at Ranganayakula Mandapam. EO and JEO offered PM the sacred theertha prasadams and laminated photo of Sri Venkateswara Swamy.

The EO also presented Modi the twin books published by TTD on antique coins in the treasury of TTD offered by various kings titled “Gold coins in the Srivari Hundi of Lord Venkateswara”,  “Silver, copper and other metal coins in the Hundi of Lord Venkateswara”.

Among the VIPs who were present includes Union MoS for Home Kishen Reddy, MP Reddeppa, Deputy CM and Minister Narayanaswamy, Minister P Ramachandra Reddy, TUDA Chief C Bhaskar Reddy, Local legislator B Karunakar Reddy and others were also present.

Earlier Modi Addressed a public meeting in Tirupati.
