New Delhi: Central government is going to take key steps regarding Jammu Kashmir issue. Up to now so many military troops have been deployed in Kashmir state. Schools and colleges have been closed. Central Home minister Amith shah being busy and conducting many meetings. Many are expecting that Central government is going to take important decision towards Jammu Kashmir.
Mainly this is regarding article 35A and article 370. What is article 35A and article 370?
Article 35A: Article A of the Indian Constitution is an article that empowers the Jammu and Kashmir state’s legislature to define permanent residents of the state and provide special rights and privileges to those permanent residents.
Article 370: Article 370 of the Indian constitution is an article that gives special status to the state of Jammu and Kashmir. The state has a separate constitution. The article 370 was deemed to have become a permanent feature of the Indian constitution.
Speculations are there that Central government is going to take a crucial decision today. Central cabinet is very much willing to take the decision. The anticipating is that central government would split the state Jammu and Kashmir into three states.
Those three states are Jammu, Kashmir, Ladak. Jammu and Kashmir will be separate states and Ladak will be as a union territory. This step will pave the way for eradication of article 35A and article 370.
