Nationa Flag rules voilated, Protests for school license cancellation

Hyderabad : A Telangana Private school has been facing criticism for its irresponsible conduct in hoisting the National Flag on the
occasion of independence day celebrations on Thursday. Meri Mata school in the headquarters of Chinna Sankarampet Mandal on
Thursday conducted independence day celebrations. The principal of the school hoisted the National Flag which was tied to a rope
that was on a poll. On the top of the poll a cross was there. According to the National Flag rules, when the National Flag is being
hoisted, except the flag, other flags or symbols shouldn’t be there.

Workers from BJP, VHP and Bajrangdal on Thursday protested against the irresponsible act of the school and demanded severe
action against the school management and cancellation of the registration of the school. They sat for a dharna on the Chegunta-
Medak road. They submitted a representation with these demands to the Tahsildar. They also asked the Sub-Inspector of Police to
arrest the principal of the school.
