Grand inauguration of 20th Foundation celebrations of Vivekananda Institute of Human Excellence
Domalguda, Hyderabad: This year is the 20th year of service of Vivekananda Institute of Human Excellence (VIHE), Ramakrishna math, Hyderabad. Over 17 Lakh youth were impacted with the courses, seminars, workshops & youth camps offered at VIHE. On this occasion a grand three day festival is being celebrated in the campus where the first day 9th September,2019 was a convention for the Engineering college faculty. Directors & principals heading various institutes also attended the conference.
The director of VIHE, Swami Bodhamayananda ji Maharaj, inaugurated the programme with Vedic chanting followed by lighting the lamp and introductory remarks. The Adhyaksha of the Ramakrishna Math, Hyderabad blessed the audience with his benedictory speech. The chief guest for the day was Professor Anil Sahasrabudhe, Chairman of AICTE, New Delhi.
Addressing the delegates, Anil Sahasrabudhe sir has emphasized on bringing out the creativity in students, reducing the rote learning & imbibing our Nation’s cultural values are the prime responsibilities of lecturers apart from delivering academic knowledge. The new initiative to include human excellence module in the training course for faculty has been highly appreciated by all the delegates. He concluded by saying that youth should develop human values along with academic excellence for an around development of individual.
Continuing the session Professor Sumita Roy, retired Head of Department of English, Osmania University has presented the outline & details of a new curriculum to be introduced for all the engineering students. The course would contain the elements of Human Excellence, which would help the student to bring out their inherent capabilities and strength to take right decisions in life. The presentation was concluded with feedback & suggestions from several delegates.
The second session had two power packed speakers, Shri Vijaya Menon sir and Shri Sharad Sagar sir. Vijay Menon Sir, Human resource academician from Kochi electrified the delegates with powerful incidents from Indian Mythology. He emphasized on how teachers can include the habit of inspiring the students by telling them about the great characters of our Nation like, Mokshagundam Vishveshwaraya who was the epitome of integrity & the king Harischandra who was the epitome of truth. He concluded by saying that all the individuals need to inculcate the habit of reading books that will get us into a higher plane of existence. Sharad Sir, CEO of Dexterity Global has inspired the delegates on how education & leadership should be taught hand in hand.
It was a great event where all the delegates were left with a message & purpose. This celebration continues with a Grand Youth Convention on 10th September 2019 which is also the foundation day of VIHE & Sampriti Divas on 11th September 2019 which is the conclusion of year long celebrations of 125th Anniversary of Swami Vivekananda’s Chicago Addresses at Parliament of Religions.
