
Kochi: First woman pilot of Indian Navy, Sub-lieutenant Shivangi, joined Naval operations in Kochi today after completion of operational training.

She was Commissioned into the Indian Navy last year after her initial training. She said ” I have been craving for this since a very long time and finally it is here, so it’s a great feeling, I am looking forward to complete my third stage of training”.

Shivangi will be tasked with flying Dornier aircraft, which are used by the Navy for transport and Maritime reconnaissance, taking off and landing on the Shore.
Shivangi who Grew up in Muzaffarpur in India’s Eastern Bihar state, she wanted to become a pilot since she was a young girl.S
