Yoga for physical and mental health- G. Suseela, Yoga Trainer

Hyderabad: Yoga has been around for ages, practicing it helps us for us to keep our body, mind and soul health said G. Suseela, registered yoga trainer from National Institute of Naturopathy, Ministry of Ayush. In a webinar organised by the Regional Outreach Bureau and the Press Information Bureau of the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting today on the topic “Role of Common Yoga Protocol towards Harmony in Living ‘’, while delivering a key note address she said that practicing yoga and meditation helps us to build immunity and promote endurance, strength and well-being.

Suseela stated that having high stress levels, low physical activities and following unhealthy food habits results in lifestyle diseases like diabetics, hypertension etc and practicing pranayam helps us to keep fit mentally in such pandemic situations. She also explained about the various yoga postures that helps to promotes deep rest and relaxation and better functioning of all the organs. At last, she the demonstrated common yoga protocols released by the Ministry of AYUSH which include various yogic practices such as Yogasanas, Pranayama, Dhyana (meditation) which are beneficial in managing health related disorders.

The Director PIB and ROB  Shruti Patil said amidst the pandemic, this year theme of the Yoga Day is ‘Be with Yoga Be at Home’ . She informed Ministry of AYUSH has released a Common Yoga Protocol that comprises day-to-day Yoga practice which intends to create general awareness among the masses to attain peace, and well-being. Earlier  Bharatalakshmi, Assistant Director ,ROB welcomed the guest. Officers of Press Information Bureau and Regional Outreach Bureau participated in the webinar.
